Human Resource Policy

Short Brief on Human Resource Policy:
The first Human Resource policy including management aspects of SHEDF was formulated through participatory workshop among all EC members. The policy reviewed by the external consultant an finalized through approval at AGM in 2009. Every two year, all the policies of SHEDF reviewed and updated as per context and demand to address the contemporary issues. Latest the HR and Organizational policy together approve in 2011.

The major component of the policy highlighted as follows:

Part One: Recruitment Process

  • As per policy, all the recruitment conducted through multiple stage procedure like- Announcement at local and national dailies, written test, viva even if the senior level position, formal presentation all include at the process of recruitment.
  • Detail indicator setup to assess the candidates skill, experience and qualification
  • Gender lens used during entire recruitment process. To some extent, women candidate get limited scale of favor to promote gender issues.


Part Two: Staff Development

  • Continuous staff development is major focus of the organization. Multiple way and techniques used to develop skill and knowledge of each level of staff. Though provide training is major component of staff development but more techniques like-study circle, annual re-treat, workshop, exposure visit, horizontal responsibility etc. are following as part of staff development.
  • Regular basis training provided both internally and externally
  • Create space to participate other organizational program, seminar, workshop or any event to develop wider out looking of each level of staff.
     

Miscellaneous

  • Detail leave pattern (i.e. earn leave, medical, casual, maternal and paternal)
  • Benefit and responsibilities (i.e. authority matrix, increment, provident fun, festival bonus, gratuity, medical cost)
